Booking DIY, it’s Easier than you Think!

Booking DIY, it’s Easier than you Think!

The internet has brought us many new and exciting ways of doing things, such as buying clothes online, ordering food, and even booking your long-awaited annual holiday. Whether you choose a package deal through a large company, put together a bespoke package through a trusted website, or go the whole hog and book it all separately yourself, there are major savings to be had, if you know where to look.

Of course, if you’re booking your holiday for the first time online, in a DIY fashion, then you could be forgiven for being a little nervous about forgetting something, or doing something wrong, so it’s always worthwhile to seek a little advice first. Be reassured however that it is very easy indeed.

The thing that many first timers miss out on is the added extras that can enhance your travel plans and save you money. For instance, do you give much thought to how you get to the airport ahead of time? Most people leave this until the last minute, and then end up paying higher costs for public transport. I personally book my airport parking spot through www.airparks.co.uk as soon as I’ve booked my holiday, so I know it’s sorted, and I know I’m going to save money and stress. If this sounds good to you, and if not, why not, then check out what’s available at your departure airport. This is a nationwide service, including great value parking at Gatwck Airport, so everyone gets to reap the benefits.

This is what booking DIY is about basically, reaping the benefits of being able to select different facets of your holiday, according to your needs and preferences, and not having to stick with what is included in your package. If you want to fly from with one airline outbound, and another inbound, you can do that, if you want to add luggage on, you can do that too, if you want to pick your particular apartment or hotel, the choice is yours, and you can add shuttle or private transfers on to suit your needs. It’s basically all down to you.

Of course, if this sounds a little worrying, there are websites that let you do all of the above, but with a safety net. Sites like Travel Republic and Sunshine will let you pick separate facets of your break, and put them together into a bespoke package. Essentially it’s the same principle as doing it all separately, but you have a customer service agent there to help you if you get stuck, or if you have any problems.

So, the next time you’re tempted to be brave and book your break on your own steam, go for it, it’s not as difficult as you might think.
